Maps:
Middle and Long distance events: new map, scale 1:10,000 and 1:15,000,

Terrain:
Mediterranean forest with areas of complex rock formations, where
regions of high runnability alternate with others where short vegetation significantly
slows the pace.

*M21A & Elite: entry only open to those athletes classed as such by the
Spanish National Orienteering Federation (FEDO).
Open Yellow (beginners: children); Open Orange (advanced beginners: adults);
Open Red (difficult). Taped course for children ("Correlin").

Orienteerers with membership of overseas clubs must, as
required by the FEDO, pay a supplemental charge of 4 ?, in addition to the fee
payable for entry to their class.
These prices include all three official events (long, medium, sprint).
Registration Deadlines:
The procedure layed down by the FEDO will be followed. Details will
follow shortly on this page.
Early registration: December 2009 to 5th of February 2010.
Late registration (additional fee of 3 ? payable): between 6th and19th of February 2010.
Closing date: 19th of February at 24:00.
Applicable Rules:
IOF rules (for the WRE portion) and FEDO (for the remainder) that
are in force at the time will be followed.

Friday 26th:
16:00: Welcome centre opens
16:00: Model event.
Saturday 27th:
10:00: Middle distance event
12:00: Taped race for children ("Correlin")
19:00: Night Sprint.
Sunday 28th:
9:30: Long distance event (WRE)
12:00: Taped race for children ("Correlin")
13:30: Prize giving ceremony for the WRE and Andalusian Orienteering Trophy.

For the time that the Middle and
Long distance events run, there will be a creche facility provided.

Due to this being the weekend of a national holiday (Dia de Andalucia),
we recommend booking accommodation as soon as possible.
The organisers will provide floor space (in a sports centre or similar), suitable
for for those bringing matting and a sleeping bag, to the first 300 applicants,
at a cost of 1 euro per person.

Usage of SportIdent Electronic
Punching:
All official classes (M and W) will
use the SportIdent electronic punching system. Those athletes that do not posess
a SportIdent dibber should hire one from the organisers at a cost of 6 ? (plus
a 30 ? deposit, refunded on the safe return of the dibber). Dibbers can also
be purchased at a cost of 36 ?.
All other classes will be able to use manual or SportIdent punching, as participants
wish.
Taped Course for Children ("Correlin"):
Provided that the weather does not preclude it, there
will be a taped course for children younger than 8 years old, on both days of
the competition.
Prizes:
Given to the top three ranked athletes in M/W Elite.
Andalusian Orienteering Trophy 2010 prizes will be given to the top three in
each class, ranked by the sum of the times obtained in all three events.
